Natural Remedies for Pigmentation

Pigmentation has always been an issue with our skin. Pigmentation of the skin can cause uneven color and dark patches. Excessive production of melanin is responsible for this condition. Pigmentation can occur on almost any part of our body, including the face, neck, hands, arms and legs. So, what will be the solution ? Yes, there are many home remedies which can easily remove those dark patches.   


Natural Remedies for Pigmentation:

Lemon Juice 

Lemon is one of the best natural skin brighteners out there. Its high citric acid content effectively exfoliates the skin and lightens and brightens pigmentation after just a few uses.
How to use 
  1. Simply slice a lemon and gently rub it on dark spots to lighten them or take 1 tsp of  fresh lemon juice and rub it on the skin using a cotton ball. Leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes, and then wash it off with water. 
  2. You can prepare a facial mask with equal amounts of lemon juice and raw honey. Leave it for 20 minutes, the rise it off with lukewarm water.
 Follow any one ( or every alternative day you can use ) remedy twice daily for a few months until you notice improvement.

*** If you have sensitive skin then dilute lemon juice with a little rose water. 



Fresh Aloe Vera Gel

This stuff is awesome for pigmentation and one of the most gentle. Its natural salicylic acid content is perfect for lightening, evening out skin tone, and getting rid of dry skin.

How to use 
  • Before going to bed, apply some fresh aloe vera gel on the pigmented skin and leave it on overnight. Aloe Vera can be used with few drops of rose water to give the added effect of both the ingredients. Rinse it off in the morning. You can use this very day.
  • Take equal amounts of Aloe Vera gel and lemon juice. Mix them well and apply to your pigmentation affected skin. Leave this for 10-15 minutes and then wash off with lukewarm water. Repeat this 2-3 times a week.
  • Another good pack is combine 2 tsp of aloe vera gel and 1/2 tsp of raw honey. Mix  it well  and apply the mixture to the pigmentation and let it dry naturally. After 20 minutes, wash it off with lukewarm water. Get the desired results you can use  once daily. 

Tomato 

Tomato juice is very good in removing unnatural pigmentation, tanning and acne scars. This 


is because tomato juice is loaded with skin nourishing anti-oxidants that helps to fade away the pigmentation.

How to use 
  • Take 2 tsp  tomato puree and 1 tsp Yogurt then mix  it well  and apply the mixture to the pigmentation ares. Leave this for 10-15 minutes and then wash off with warm water. For best result repeat 3-4 times a week.
